Magnesium – Why We NEED it, and how to get it.

Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body, and it is involved in about 350 different biochemical reactions that help make your cells function properly. So, it goes without saying that every organ in the human body needs magnesium! Without enough of it, kidney function diminishes, nerve and muscle function deteriorate, bones decrease in strength, the heart weakens – and that’s just where it starts. Failing to get enough magnesium can prevent the activation of enzymes responsible for production of energy and regulation of key nutrients in your body such as vitamin D, calcium, copper, potassium, and zinc. If magnesium is so crucial to our development and ability to function as a human being, why then are so many people – knowingly or unknowingly – plagued by magnesium deficiency?

As a single parent for many years, Elena knows what it's like to live in daily overwhelm that seems it will never end. After suffering from severe post-partum depression for 5 years, and an abusive relationship that she couldn't seem to quit, Elena developed a case of seriously self destructive self talk about being a "horrible mother". Through these tracks she's been able to stop experiencing irrational anger towards child, is no longer experiencing mental health challenges, and has even attracted a wonderful man into her life who is a great father to her son and a dream come true. Now she works to help other mothers to manage and reduce their stress, build healthier relationships, stop sounding like their mothers, and live lives they once only dreamed of.
